Tuthill Trail Fest - It's more than a bike race

It's hard to remember what it was like in Sioux Falls before we had miles and miles of single track for off-road biking.

Well, it's not that hard because it hasn't been that long. Which is amazing when you think about what the Falls Area Single Track group has accomplished since those early days at Leaders Park.

Today, Tuthill Park and the adjoining parks on The Greenway, Legacy Park, Dunham Park - and Leaders - are part of the network of trails in our city.

Amazing.

Tuthill has also opened the door to mountain bike racing through Sioux Falls Bike Racing Series. That culminates the last weekend in August (26-28) with the three-day Tuthill Trail Fest. This year that also includes a trail running race on Saturday morning put on by Sioux Falls Area Running Club as well as other activities.

AND... it's our anniversary weekend at the South Cliff Avenue store, right smack in the middle of all the action.

It's going to be a great weekend for all Sioux Falls bike riders and racers as well as all the folks who use the trails for running, walking, hucking the disc and hanging out (that means you hammock people).

We're happy to be a sponsor of Saturday's events at Trail Fest. We'll have food, drink and some special surprises that afternoon between the trail run and the eliminator hill climb, which is going to be epic. You can get all the race details here.

None of that would be possible if some incredible community-minded, hard-working people who ride bikes didn't dream big and take on the risk to make it happen.

That's why this is a great place to live.

See you at the Tuthill Trail Fest!
